COVID-19 Care Packages

SMCIL received federal, state and local county grant funds to aid our Consumers during the COVID-19 pandemic.  SMCIL provided over 250 care packages to Veterans, seniors and individuals with disabilities in Calvert, Charles and St. Mary's counties.  The packages consisted of paper towels, toilet paper, small bottle of soap, a handmade, washable mask for every member of the household and information about SMCIL's services.  These care packages were delivered with the assistance of area churches.

SMCIL would like to thank the following churches for their help in arranging/distributing the care packages:

  • Holy Ghost Catholic Church - Issue, MD

  • Bethesda United Methodist Church - Valley Lee, MD

  • St. Matthews Pentecostal Church - Hollywood, MD
